October 7, 2026. We would like you to know exactly what you are reading when you open an article on MicStage Lab.
A guide, not a prescription
Our work explains how podcasting and live-streaming equipment and software work, what the trade-offs are, and which questions to put to the people who sell or install things. It is written for a general reader, so it cannot be advice for you in particular. Decisions that carry real cost or risk deserve a qualified professional who has seen your situation.
Where we draw the line
Recording and streaming can involve music licensing, consent to record and platform rules that differ by state and service. Nothing here is legal advice, and equipment mains wiring, a manufacturer’s manual and a platform’s published terms, not an article, govern what you may do and how to do it safely.
Why numbers come with caveats
You will see ranges and words like “typically” throughout. That is deliberate: costs, speeds and results depend on things we cannot see from here. Treat our examples as illustrations. Please also remember that articles date. If you find something that has changed, tell us through the contact form.
How we make money
Mainly through display advertising chosen by networks such as Google, which we do not control, and occasionally through affiliate links that may pay us a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. Neither buys an opinion, and we say so in our Editorial Policy. The affiliate disclosure follows the Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255).
Beyond our walls
We link to other websites and mention products and companies by name. Those belong to other people, and we are not responsible for them.
In the end
You decide what to do with what you read, and you carry the consequences. See the Terms of Service for the formal limits.
